About California Roof Renewal
A family company in Camarillo, run by Mark and Spencer. We inspect Ventura County roofs and tell you whether yours needs oil, a coating, or a new roof.

California Roof Renewal is the company. Roof Maxx is a certified-dealer service we added to it — not the name on the masthead, and not a second business with a slash in it.
It started with an insurance non-renewal letter on a family roof. Keep the roof or lose the policy. That letter is still the most common reason the phone rings.
We hold CSLB #1160227, a C-39 roofing license. We are a licensed roofing contractor, so we will quote you a full replacement as readily as a treatment. We can do the thing we are telling you that you may not need.
The Acorn wrote about the work in Keeping a Roof Over Your Head the Sensible Way.

Who shows up
A small family company means the person who quotes your roof is usually the person standing on it. Mark is a co-owner and he is still out on treatment days.
We photograph what we find and show you the same pictures we work from. When the roof does not need us, that is in the pictures too.
We do this in public, too
We take a booth at home shows and real estate expos around Ventura County. Most homeowners only ever hear about their roof from someone already standing in the driveway trying to sell them a new one. A folding table at a show is a place to ask the question with nobody's truck parked outside.
Agents get the most out of it. Roof condition is one of the things that stalls a sale, and the difference between a roof that has to be replaced and one that can be treated is usually thousands of dollars sitting in the middle of an escrow. We explain which is which, including on roofs we will never be hired to touch.
The booth is branded Roof Maxx because that is the dealer service and the name the show programs list us under. Same company, same license.
